Dawn Terpstra is a poet, writer and beekeeper living in rural Iowa. Her poetry appears in current and forthcoming publications including Verse Daily, Pratik, Halfway Down the Stairs, Midwest Quarterly, Quartet, Briar Cliff Review, Ekphrastic Review, SWWIM and others. She is the author of a chapbook, Songs from the Summer Kitchen (Finishing Line Press, 2021). Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. She is currently the Poetry Editor for River Heron Review.
She is a graduate of Iowa State University with masters degrees in anthropology and human development and family studies. She is currently pursuing her MFA in creative writing at Rainier Writing Workshop, Pacific Lutheran University.
